Four Fine Wipe-Off Pens For Film, Glass And Plastic

Staedtler 316 WP4 holds four fine Lumocolor non-permanent pens, around 0.6 mm, in black, red, blue and green.

The F tip is the one for detail: labels on overhead film, small annotations on a laminated chart, tick boxes on a plastic sleeve or notes on a glass shelf. Because the ink is water-soluble, Staedtler say it can be wiped from film with a damp cloth, so a template or overlay can be marked up and reused.

Staedtler call the 316 a universal pen for almost all surfaces and say it is suitable for overhead projection. The ink dries fast with strong colour, and black is lightfast. A polypropylene barrel and cap are built for long service, and automatic pressure equalisation prevents leaks on a plane. The clear stand-up wallet becomes a pen holder on the desk.

These are wet-wipe pens, not dry-wipe whiteboard markers, so they need a damp cloth to clear. Spent pens can be topped up from a 487 15 refill pot in red, blue, green or black.

Four fine Lumocolor 316 wet-wipe pens, black, red, blue and green, in one stand-up Staedtler wallet.
They will mark one, but they are wet-wipe pens and need a damp cloth to remove. For dry-wiping use a Lumocolor 351 or 341 whiteboard marker.
Staedtler give approx. 0.6 mm for the F tip. Superfine 311 is approx. 0.4 mm and medium 315 approx. 1.0 mm.
Staedtler describe the ink as fast drying, but it is water-soluble, so damp hands or moisture can lift it.
Staedtler say up to 10 refills from a 487 15 pot, depending on the condition of the pen tip.
