A tube of 12 Staedtler Mars micro carbon 250 05-2H leads: 0.5 mm wide and graded 2H.

2H in a 0.5 mm pencil makes a thin, pale line that keeps its edge. It suits technical drawing, geometry homework, floor plans and pattern drafting, where a crisp guide line matters more than a dark one.

Staedtler describe the Mars micro carbon lead as highly flexible and extremely break resistant, with smooth gliding and easy erasing. It is listed for paper and drawing card, and Staedtler state it works in every mechanical pencil, so a 0.5 mm pencil of any make takes it. The tube carries the ISO colour marking for this width.

In the 0.5 mm size Staedtler make seven grades from 2B to 3H. Choose 3H for an even lighter line, or H and HB for a darker one.
