Mid-Dark Tone For Shading

The Staedtler tradition 110-4B box holds 12 soft pencils for building tone, from mid greys to fairly deep darks, without jumping straight to the softest grades.

In the tradition line 4B sits between 3B and 5B. It blends easily with a finger or tortillon, fills an area quickly and still keeps enough of a point for edges and hair detail in a portrait. Many art students carry it alongside an HB and a 2B as their standard shading trio.

On break resistance, Staedtler cite their special lead formulation plus super-bonding of the lead; on feel, a velvet soft surface with smooth gliding lead. The barrels are red and black with gold STAEDTLER tradition 4B print, and Staedtler state they are made in Germany.

Mega Office Supplies accepts change-of-mind returns for unopened and unused products within 14 days from the invoice date, provided the item is returned in its original packaging and in resalable condition.
