A3 is the size art teachers tend to ask for once students start working at scale: full figure studies, layered collage and design sheets that need the whole page. ACCO list the diary as side opening with no margin and no perforated sheets, so every page stays whole from edge to edge. They describe the paper as acid free and say it prevents yellowing over time.
