The tin prints Optima No. 56 26/6, so this is the same size code as Rexel's standard office staple, but Rexel publish it as a different product with a different rating and a different machine list.

Rexel rate the Optima 56 from 2 to 40 sheets of 80gsm paper. Their standard No. 56 26/6 is rated at up to 20. ACCO explain the gap in their datasheet: the Optima staple is made with longer legs and sharper points to penetrate up to 40 sheets of 80gsm paper. Rexel publish it for the Optima Grip, the Optima 20 and the Optima 40, and guarantee jam free stapling in those machines.

The pairing is deliberate. Rexel's page for the Optima 40 we stock states it is compatible with Rexel Optima 26/6 staples, and the tin carries a pictogram reading Optima stapler plus Optima staple equals one hundred per cent performance. Rexel supply the code as 3750 in a lidded aluminium tin rather than a card box.
