The Compact Sadr Casserole, with a Straining Glass Lid

The Resto Sadr 20cm casserole holds 2.6L and comes with a straining glass lid, a water-based Queenhome non-stick interior and an induction base, on a body of recycled die-cast aluminium.

Sadr is one of Resto's die-cast collections, made from recycled aluminium and finished in dark green with wood-grain handles. The 20cm casserole is the smaller of the two Sadr casseroles, alongside the 24cm (4.6L), and Resto lists it at 10.5cm high, sized for rice, vegetables and meals for one or two. The tempered glass lid has a silicone rim, a steam outlet, a wood-like knob and straining holes on both sides.

Silicone inserts in the straining holes protect your fingers, and Resto says the lid removes the need for a colander when you drain pasta or vegetables. The 5mm base has a 153mm induction disc and an anti-deformation disk for induction, gas, electric, vitroceramic and halogen hobs, and Resto states its die-cast collections are free of lead, PFOA and cadmium.

Yes. Resto lists induction, gas, electric, vitroceramic and halogen hobs for this casserole, and the base is reinforced with an anti-deformation disk to help it stay flat.
Resto does not publish an oven rating for the Sadr pots either way, and the product page shows no oven-safe mark. We suggest keeping it to the hob.
Resto marks it dishwasher safe, but its care guidance limits this to low temperatures (max. 50°C) and warns the aluminium base may discolour in a dishwasher. We recommend hand washing to keep the base and the exterior coating looking their best.
Resto's specifications for this range do not name suitable utensils. To look after any non-stick coating, we suggest wooden, silicone or nylon utensils rather than metal.
Sadr casseroles come in 20cm (2.6L) and 24cm (4.6L), both with straining glass lids. The 16cm saucepan holds 1.4L and has the same style of lid, with a single long handle instead of side handles.

Resto does not say either way for Sadr. Its Sadr Declaration of Compliance describes only an aluminium body with a non-stick coating, so we make no claim about PTFE. Resto describes the Queenhome interior as water-based and states its die-cast collections are free of lead, PFOA and cadmium.
