A 2.6L Forged Aluminium Casserole With a Glass Lid

The Resto Mon 20cm casserole holds 2.6 L, comes with a tempered glass lid and is made from recycled forged aluminium with a 4-layer PFLUON non-stick coating.

Mon is a black forged aluminium range from Resto, with a non-stick interior that Resto describes as abrasion resistant and a heat-resistant coating outside. The lid is tempered glass with a steam outlet, a wood-like knob and a silicone rim that Resto says is there to avoid scratching the non-stick surface. There are two soft-touch side handles with wood-like inserts for lifting.

It works on induction, gas, electric, vitroceramic and halogen hobs, thanks to an induction bottom reinforced with an anti-deformation disk. At 20cm across and 8.5 cm high with a 2.6 L capacity, it suits soups, rice, sauces and stews for a small team or a couple. Resto lists its weight as 1.248 kg.

Hand washing keeps the coating at its best, so keep dishwashing and kitchen cleaning supplies by the sink, add more kitchenware and cookware to a breakroom or staff kitchen, and serve up with our serveware and dinnerware ranges.

FAQs

Yes. Resto lists induction, gas, electric, vitroceramic and halogen hobs for the Mon range, and the base is an induction bottom reinforced with an anti-deformation disk.
Yes. The casserole comes with a tempered glass lid that has a silicone rim, a steam outlet and a wood-like knob. Both pieces come packed in a gift box.
Resto's specification, brochure, catalogue and gift box all give 2.6 L. One line of Resto's product page text says 2.5 L, but we use the 2.6 L figure printed on the box.
Resto does not publish an oven rating for the Mon range, so we cannot recommend oven use for the casserole or its glass lid. Treat it as a hob-only pan.
Resto shows a dishwasher symbol for Mon and its brochure calls its forged aluminium pans dishwasher safe, but its aluminium-base care guide says to keep the dishwasher to 50°C or below and warns the base may discolour. We recommend hand washing in warm soapy water.
The 24cm Mon casserole holds 4.4 L and stands 11.5 cm high, against 2.6 L and 8.5 cm for this one. For smaller jobs there is the 16cm Mon saucepan at 1.4 L, also with a glass lid.
