Rough 300gsm A3 Watercolour Paper, 25 Sheets

Quill Watercolour Paper Rough 300gsm A3, code 100855050, is a pack of 25 white A3 sheets of Quill's heaviest watercolour paper, for senior classes and studios that paint loosely and in volume.

Hamelin Brands' product page sets Rough apart as the surface for a loose painting style, with texture that lets granulation develop as strongly as possible. A pack of 25 gives a senior class enough paper for a series of landscape or abstract works on one consistent surface, rather than mixing packs.

That page also calls the paper thick, absorbent and textured, and acid free. The same page's list of media puts pencil, pastel, ink, gouache and acrylic beside watercolour. At 300gsm, it is the heaviest weight Quill offers in this range.

The A4 Rough pack and the 200gsm surfaces are in specialty papers. Match it with watercolour paints from the colour range and wide brushes from art and craft supplies for large, loose work.

FAQs

Hamelin Brands' product page links the rough texture to a loose style where granulating effects can be brought out, which suits expressive landscape and abstract work.
Yes. Hamelin Brands' listings give Rough as 300gsm, against 200gsm for the Smooth and Medium sheets.
Hamelin Brands' listing does not give a fibre content or a pressing method for code 100855050, so we cannot confirm either; that page calls the sheet thick, absorbent and textured.
