A 1.21 x 2.43m Whiteboard You Apply to the Wall

The Post-it Dry Erase Surface DEF8X4 is one roll of self-adhesive whiteboard film measuring 1.21 x 2.43m (4 x 8 ft), which you press onto a clean surface and write on with standard dry erase markers.

3M lists the surfaces the film suits: primed and painted drywall, painted or polished steel, glass, finished wood, and existing whiteboards or chalkboards. It is not recommended for unprimed drywall, cinder block, brick, wallpaper, or heavily textured or delicate surfaces. The surface must be clean, smooth, dry and sound, and 3M says the product is for indoor vertical use.

At 1.21 x 2.43m, one sheet can cover part of a meeting room wall or resurface a tired whiteboard without mounting a board. The film can be cut to size with scissors or a utility knife against a straight edge. When it is time to remove it, 3M says to peel it slowly from a corner at 180 degrees.

One rolled sheet of dry erase film, 1.21 x 2.43m. 3M's instructions also refer to a Post-it Dry Erase Cleaning Cloth provided with the film, but we have not been able to confirm the cloth is in the carton supplied here, so please ask us if it matters to you.
3M lists primed and painted drywall, painted or polished steel, glass, finished wood, and existing whiteboards or chalkboards. 3M does not recommend it for unprimed drywall, cinder block, brick, wallpaper, or heavily textured or delicate surfaces.
3M says the surface must be clean, smooth, dry and sound. Clean it with water and a soft cloth, let it dry for 10 minutes, and give fresh paint time to cure before you start.
No. 3M says never to use permanent markers or pens. If it happens, 3M suggests writing over the mark with a dry erase marker, or using isopropyl rubbing alcohol, to lift it.
Erase with a microfibre cloth; 3M does not recommend felt erasers. Wipe the surface with a wet cloth once a week to remove ink build-up, and avoid scratching, folding or bending the film.
