Satin Black With One Bold Ring of Amethyst Purple

The Parker IM Vibrant Rings ballpoint 2172951 pairs a satin black lacquer body with an Amethyst Purple ring accent, writes in blue ink with a medium point and comes presented in a Parker gift box.

Parker describes the Vibrant Rings collection as all-black, sleek and minimalist finishes paired with bold, vibrant ring accents. On this pen the satin black lacquer sits over stainless steel, the metal parts carry a PVD coating that Parker says resists wear and corrosion, and a single purple ring sits low on the barrel. A click action extends and retracts the medium point.

One controlled accent on a black pen looks considered rather than loud, which suits client gifts, staff awards and boardroom tables alike. Blue ink suits signing contracts and approvals, and because the pen takes Parker QUINK ballpoint refills it can stay in daily use once the first refill runs out.

Parker makes the same ballpoint with a Flame Orange ring (2172946) or a Marine Blue ring (2172941). Compare more executive ballpoint pens, browse pens worth gifting, or see the full Parker range and our wider executive pens.

FAQs

Blue. Parker lists blue ink and a medium point for 2172951. The Amethyst Purple is the ring accent only, so the ink is not purple.
Only the ring colour changes. 2172946 has a Flame Orange ring and 2172941 has a Marine Blue ring, and all three share the satin black body, blue ink, medium point and Parker gift box. Parker also makes Vibrant Rings fountain pens and rollerballs, which are separate products.
It is presented in a Parker gift box, shown in Parker's photo with a black lid and a white tray. Parker's wording mentions refills but does not say whether a spare is packed, so please do not count on one.
Parker says the pen uses QUINK ballpoint refills. Parker's own ballpoint refill is sold as the QUINKflow ballpoint refill in fine, medium and broad. Ask us about refills.
Parker describes the point as medium but does not publish a line width in millimetres for this pen, so we do not quote one. Parker also does not publish its dimensions or weight.
Yes. It is a genuine Parker IM Vibrant Rings ballpoint, item 2172951, presented in a Parker gift box.
