A 50mm Green Band For Thick Volumes And Bigger Repairs

Olympic 141717 is a single 25m roll of green Wotan cloth tape, 50mm wide, which Hamelin Brands list for book binding, repairs and general masking.

A 50mm band is the width to reach for when a job outgrows the narrower rolls: a thick stapled volume, a torn corner on a document box, or the spine of a large hardcover that needs a new hinge. Hamelin Brands list green in 25mm, 38mm and 75mm widths too, so a colour code can carry across files of different thickness.

Printed on the black wrap in our second photo, and repeated in the Hamelin Brands features, are the words high strength, waterproof, non-stretch and tears evenly. Hamelin Brands give a roll weight of 300g. The small print on the side of the wrap cannot be read in the photo, so we have not used it.

On thicker spines and longer tears, where a single wide strip covers what would otherwise take a pair of narrow ones. Standard stapled reports are easier to tape neatly with the 38mm green roll, Olympic 141709.
Hamelin Brands include general masking among its uses. Clean removal is not mentioned, so test a small piece on paint or a finished surface first.
