Counting up is the part worth paying attention to. A countdown timer answers "how long is left". A stopwatch answers "how long did that take". This does both, so the same device runs a five-minute pack-up and then times how long a child can balance on one leg.

The display is 7.5 x 5.3cm - big enough to read from across a room, which is the entire reason to buy a jumbo timer instead of the one on a phone.
