A Simple Straight Cut Trimmer For The Home Office

The Fellowes Proton A3 is a no-frills rotary trimmer for home offices and studies that mostly need clean straight cuts up to A3.

Each pass handles 10 sheets of 80gsm paper over a 460 mm cut, using one SafeCut cartridge that only exposes the blade while trimming. Storage in the base keeps cartridges with the machine, and the metal cutting base suits frequent use.

A paper clamp holds the sheets in place and cutting guides help with standard sizes. Fellowes give it a 2 year warranty. Unlike the Electron A3, it ships with a single blade, though the cartridges are interchangeable and spare packs are sold separately.

It is a good fit for photos, school work, flyers and occasional A3 prints.
