Derwent Chromaflow colour 1620: Tropical Rain

Six Derwent Chromaflow pencils in Tropical Rain, colour number 1620, each with a smooth, powder-based 3.5mm core.

Because the pencils are highly pigmented, Derwent says the colours stand out well on black and mid-tone paper. Derwent lists Tropical Rain as colour 1620 of the 150 in its Chromaflow range. Like the rest of the range, Tropical Rain is powder-based, with a 3.5mm core and a smooth laydown. Derwent also says the core is made to handle pressure when sharpening and in use. Chromaflow is erasable, so highlights can be created in a piece of work.

Purchase orders can reference AA2306072 or the Derwent code 2306072. Derwent gives Tropical Rain a Blue Wool rating of 8, on a scale graded 0 to 8 where 8 is the highest rating. Each box contains 6 Tropical Rain pencils, colour number 1620. Derwent's range ratings put Chromaflow at 5 for colour intensity and 4 for point strength.
