Derwent Watersoluble Sketching tin of 6 with HB, 4B and 8B
Six Derwent Watersoluble Sketching pencils in a tin, two each of HB, 4B and 8B, with a pencil sharpener included.
Derwent describes its Watersoluble Sketching pencil as a combination of graphite and water. Like the standard Sketching pencil it has a wide strip of graphite for loose sketches, but when water is added the graphite gently dissolves and the drawing takes on a softer feel. Derwent has set the range at 3 wash strengths, light, medium and dark, and this tin carries all three degrees.
When ordering, quote Derwent code 0700837 or our code AA700837. The tin holds 6 pencils, 2 x HB, 2 x 4B and 2 x 8B, together with a pencil sharpener. Derwent lists the range as wax-based and water-soluble with a smooth texture and a 4mm core, and rates it 5 for blending, layering and point strength.
For more pencils that work with water, see Water Soluble Pencils. Graphite and colour pencils of every kind are in Pencils, and Drawing & Colouring covers pads and the other drawing materials we stock.
