Derwent Inktense Saddle Brown, highly pigmented and water-soluble

Derwent Inktense in Saddle Brown (colour 1740), a box of 6. The colour is highly pigmented and water-soluble.

Saddle Brown carries the number 1740 among the 100 Derwent Inktense colours. Once dry the colour is permanent and does not wash out, which lets further layers sit over it. Adding water makes the highly pigmented colour even more intense, Derwent says, and the pencil can equally be used dry. Each pencil has a soft, wax-based core 4mm across.

Either AA2301891 or Derwent's 2301891 identifies this box. Colour can be used dry or mixed with water, Derwent says. A box from us is 6 pencils of Saddle Brown. Derwent describes Inktense for fine art and craft projects on paper and fabric.

For other Inktense colours to go with this box, see Inktense Pencils on our site. Watercolour & Inktense Pencils adds the other water-soluble Derwent pencils, Derwent Artist Pencils the remaining Derwent ranges, and Pencils general pencils.
