Box of Derwent Inktense pencils in Amber

Six Amber pencils from Derwent Inktense, colour 1710. It is one of 100 colours in the range.

Derwent lists Amber as number 1710 in its 100-colour Inktense pencil range. Adding water makes the highly pigmented colour even more intense, Derwent says, and the pencil can equally be used dry. The features table marks the range permanent once dry, and Derwent says previously dried layers are not dissolved by new ones. Fabric, ceramic and wood are among the porous surfaces Derwent names for Inktense, alongside paper.

Colour can be used dry or mixed with water, Derwent says. Quote AA2301888 to us, or Derwent code 2301888, when ordering. It comes from us as a box of 6 in this one colour. Derwent describes Inktense for fine art and craft projects on paper and fabric.

Inktense pencils on their own sit in Inktense Pencils, where this colour is listed with the rest of the range. Derwent's water-soluble pencils are grouped in Watercolour & Inktense Pencils; other Derwent ranges we carry are in Derwent Artist Pencils.
