Water-soluble Derwent pastel pencil in Soft Violet
Derwent Pastel pencils in Soft Violet: a powder-based pastel core 4mm across, chalky in texture, six to a box.
Colour P230, Soft Violet, belongs to the Derwent Pastel Pencils range. Derwent highlights high pigment and minimal dusting. Derwent points out that pastel is naturally water-soluble and can be worked with water for light washes. Derwent describes a fine chalk texture that gives a laydown of soft colour. Derwent lists 72 colours in the range. Derwent's range table records a chalky texture and a powder-based 4mm core.
Our listing is a box of 6 pencils, every one in Soft Violet. Portraiture and life studies are the uses Derwent singles out, along with detailed drawings and sketches. For purchase orders, use our code AA2300252 or Derwent's 2300252. Derwent's range table lists blendable at 5 and colour intensity at 4.
Our art range is split across collections: Craft Pastels for pastel products such as these pencils, and Art & Craft Supplies for paper, paint and general drawing materials we stock.
