3M's guide uses 4 sets of medium strips for a frame up to 45 x 60cm and 2 sets for one up to 27 x 43cm and 2.5kg. Count the sets each frame needs against the 8 in the pack.
No. 3M's picture hanging page says to remove hanging hardware from the back of the frame before using picture hanging strips.
