Slim Strips for Frames With Narrow Edges

Command Narrow Picture Hanging Strips 17207 are slim interlocking strips for thin frames, hanging them on a smooth indoor wall without nails, with 4 sets in each pack.

3M Australia lists the 17207 as 4 sets of narrow strips holding up to 5kg, and 3M's choosing guide rates 4 sets of narrow strips at 5kg for frames up to 45 x 60cm. The pack in our photographs prints 4 sets holding up to 5.4kg, for frames with narrow edges. Each narrow strip is 1.3cm wide and 9.3cm long, per 3M's guide.

A standard strip can be wider than a slim metal or timber frame and show at the edge. These fit behind thin profiles and click together, following the steps printed on the pack. 3M says they remove cleanly when the display changes.

3M Australia's product page and choosing guide list 5kg for 4 sets of narrow strips, while the pack in our photographs prints 5.4kg. Plan to the lower 5kg figure.
3M's guide gives narrow strips the same ratings as medium strips, but each narrow strip is 1.3cm wide against 1.9cm for a medium strip, so it suits frames with a thin edge.
No. 3M's picture hanging page says to remove hanging hardware from the back of the frame before using picture hanging strips.
No. 3M's Command FAQ says picture hanging strips are for one time use only, so use a fresh set each time you rehang a frame.
3M Australia lists painted walls, finished wood, glass, tile, metal and other smooth surfaces. 3M's Command FAQ says not to use it on wallpaper, which can tear, and that it will not stick to brick.
3M's Command FAQ says the one hour wait gives the adhesive time to build strong adhesion to the wall. Clean the wall with isopropyl alcohol first, as 3M notes household cleaners can leave a residue.

Returns, Refunds & Replacements

Mega Office Supplies accepts change-of-mind returns for unopened and unused products within 14 days from the invoice date, provided the item is returned in its original packaging and in resalable condition. Original shipping costs are not refundable, return shipping is the customer’s responsibility, and a restocking fee may apply depending on the product type and supplier.
