Premium Metallic Steel Blue, a Dark Blue Grey Shimmer
Steel Blue is a dark blue-grey Premium Metallic in Jo Sonja's Matte Flow Acrylic, made for moody metallic finishes, here in a 75ml tube.
Behind the tube in our hero photo is a swirl of dark blue-grey metallic paint. The grey-green label band prints Premium Metallic, Steel Blue and Series 3, with a filled circle partly hidden by glare, then Bleu acier, Azul acero and Stahlblau. Below come the Fine Artists' Paint band, then the Steel Blue tube's Jo Sonja wordmark. A third image shows a pot painted silver, black and gold.
A dark metallic blue gives planters, frames and industrial style pieces a moody, gunmetal look. It pairs with copper and gold for contrast, or with silver for a cool, layered finish. Pot painting workshops can share one tube across several small projects in a session.
For gunmetal style pots and industrial frames, coat pots and frames with flats from craft paint brushes, see painting mediums for sealing decor, and compare Platinum and Aztec Gold in our acrylic paints.
