A White Primer for Everyday Studio Projects

Jo Sonja's Gesso White in a 250ml jar gives a white priming coat for canvas, board and craft surfaces before painting.

White gesso is the usual starting ground for a great deal of painting, giving colour a clean, bright surface to sit on. This jar uses the older navy and cream Jo Sonja's label with Gesso White on the front. The side heading is partly visible and begins Fine-Grit and Maximum, which matches the newer label wording Fine-Grit Finish with Maximum Tooth. The white jar has a broad black screw lid.

The 250ml jar is the size to choose for a handful of small canvases, boards or craft blanks, or for a painter trying gesso for the first time. A wide opening suits a flat brush or small roller, and the lid screws down firmly between sessions.

This 250ml jar suits a few small pieces. Jo Sonja Gesso White is also listed as a 500ml jar (JS71445) for regular studio use and a 1 litre jar (JS71450) for big canvases and classroom supply.
Our photo shows the older navy and cream label. The larger jars are pictured in the newer Fine Artists' Mediums design.
The newer gesso label notes that the colour can be changed with Jo Sonja Matte Flow Acrylic. The directions on this older jar are turned away in our image, so check your own label.

Returns, Refunds & Replacements

Mega Office Supplies accepts change-of-mind returns for unopened and unused products within 14 days from the invoice date, provided the item is returned in its original packaging and in resalable condition. Original shipping costs are not refundable, return shipping is the customer’s responsibility, and a restocking fee may apply depending on the product type and supplier.
