Jo Sonja's Retarder Medium is a 250ml clear liquid, and its label puts its job simply: Delays Drying Time of Acrylics.

Acrylic colour can set before a blend is finished, especially in warm rooms or on large areas. A liquid retarder is the classic answer, and this bottle is labelled for exactly that purpose. It carries a royal blue Jo Sonja's band, a blue shell logo and the Chroma mark, and the liquid inside is water clear in our photo.

This is a liquid. The Gel Retarder (JS71200) is a gel labelled for oil-like blendability. Pick the liquid to brush into a wet area, or the gel to work into colour on the palette.
