Chroma Atelier Free Flow Permanent Alizarine, 250ml Bottle
Permanent Alizarine in a 250ml bottle suits painters who use claret red widely in florals, still life and dark warm grounds.
On the swatch card the alizarine reads as a deep garnet red, lifting to a muted rose where the stroke thins. At 250ml, this claret keeps the Atelier Free Flow Artists' Acrylic heading. This alizarine is Series 4 and transparent. The deep claret carries pigment PR.175 and PR.122. Alizarine lightfastness: ASTM 1. This claret shows British Woolscale 8:8:8. Code AT13570 prints 8.4 US fl oz on the alizarine bottle.
With 250ml of this garnet claret, big florals and dark warm grounds on larger canvases are well supplied. Transparent on the label, the deep claret is one for glazes over dry claret layers. Larger squeezes of the claret come from the black flip-top cap.
Big claret projects, such as claret wine, draw on other acrylic colours. For the deep claret, wide brushes cover canvas and art paper; the alizarine session stays organised with palettes and painting accessories.
