Cadmium Yellow Medium in Atelier Free Flow, 60ml
Cadmium Yellow Medium is a warm golden yellow for sunflowers, wheat, egg yolks and sunlit highlights.
The swatch shows a rich egg-yolk yellow at full strength that pales to a soft butter yellow toward the thin edge. This egg-yolk yellow label shows Series 4 and an opaque mark. Cadmium Yellow Medium belongs to Atelier Free Flow Artists' Acrylic. For this egg-yolk yellow, pigment PY.37 is printed. Cadmium Yellow Medium rates ASTM 1 for lightfastness. The golden yolk shows British Woolscale 8:8:8.
As a 60ml bottle the medium cadmium yellow is easy to carry for travel sketching and suits small sunflower and wheat studies. Opaque on the label, the golden yolk suits flat egg-yolk yellow areas. Between sessions, its flip-top cap keeps the egg-yolk yellow sealed.
Pair the egg-yolk yellow with acrylic paints. Set the golden yolk out on palettes and painting accessories, paint wheat onto canvas and art paper, and finish the egg-yolk yellow kit with painting supplies.
