Cobalt Blue Hue, a mid blue with a violet lean
Cobalt Blue Hue is a mid blue with a soft violet lean, suited to evening skies, blue china, shadows on snow and denim.
This tube's blue shoulder label reads Cobalt Blue Hue, shows a half-filled circle and Semi-Transparent, and adds Nuance de Bleu de Cobalt, Kobaltblau Ton and Azul Cobalto Tono. Our swatch is a violet-tinged blue in the dense stroke and a lighter periwinkle where scraped thin. Printed on the tube body are Atelier A2, "Heavy Body Acrylic" and 120mL with 4 US fl oz.
A blue that sits between sky blue and deep violet-blue fills a useful gap on a palette, and a 120ml tube keeps it close at hand without bulk. The size travels well in a sketching kit, and the screw cap keeps the paint sealed between painting days.
Find more A2 blues in acrylic paints, add brushes from our brush range and a palette knife from painting accessories, then paint Cobalt Blue Hue onto art paper or canvas.
