A Buro Gas Lift Sold By Its Part Code
Buro 111-5 is a replacement gas lift that ACCO list as the Buro 200mm Gaslift, with a black cylinder body, a chrome upper tube and a red release pin.
The gas lift is the column between the chair base and the seat mechanism, and it is what raises and lowers the seat. When a seat will no longer hold its height, the lift is the usual part to replace. Our listing has long called this code an intermediate drafting gas lift, and it sits next to 111-6, the 270mm version, which carries a white release pin in its photo.
ACCO publish very little for 111-5: the name, the brand and a single photo. There is no chair list, no stroke or travel figure and no rating on their page, and no Buro spec sheet names the code. Because of that we do not say which chairs it suits. The safe way to order is by part code, from the chair label, an invoice or the Buro parts list you already have.
