Brother TZe cassettes in 3.5mm, 6mm, 9mm, 12mm, 18mm, 24mm and 36mm. Thirty six millimetres is the maximum. Only four machines in our range reach it, and this is the only one with wired networking.

Yes. Brother lists HSe-261E and HSe-661E among the cassettes for this model. Together with the PT-P900W it is one of only two machines we sell that take the 31mm sizes. Everything smaller stops at 21.0mm on 3:1 ratio tube.

Not as standard. The machine has indicator lamps only and is driven over the network, Wi-Fi or USB. The optional PA-TDU-003 touch display unit adds a screen and keyboard so it can run standalone.

It supports a barcode scanner directly. An operator scans a part or a location and the printer produces the matching label without a computer in the chain, which is what suits it to a production line or a despatch bench.

The print engine, cutter, media support and dimensions are identical. The PT-P950NW adds wired Ethernet, the USB host port for scanners, optional Bluetooth and the optional touch display unit. If none of those matter, the PT-P900W prints exactly the same labels for less.

Yes, with the optional PA-BT-4000LI Li-ion battery and battery base, neither of which is in the box. Mains power uses the supplied AD9100ESA adapter.

Brother Australia covers the PT-P950NW with a 3 year return to base warranty.
