Broad 12mm Bands for Bulky Bundles

Bounce Size 85 is a 100mm long, 12.0mm wide natural tan rubber band, supplied loose in a 500g bag for stockrooms, warehouses and mailrooms.

Most desk bands are 1.5mm to 3.0mm across. At 12.0mm, Size 85 is a strap rather than a string, so it spreads its hold over a broad strip of whatever it wraps. That makes it a sensible pick for thick wads of files, boxed parts, catalogue piles and rolled drawings. On the Bounce chart it sits in the 12.0mm group, longer than Size 82 at 64mm and shorter than Size 86 at 114mm.

The bag label reads Made in Thailand, and Bounce say their rubber is grown on Thai plantations. GECA has authenticated a single claim for Bounce, that the rubber in these bands is derived from natural rubber trees. Bounce note that natural rubber bands are latex and carry a rubber smell.
