The Bostitch 315590 Professional is a heavy duty desk stapler that ACCO rate at up to 65 sheets of 80 gsm paper, driven by a spring rather than by brute force on the handle.

Ordinary heavy duty staplers make you lean on the lever until the staple gives way. ACCO explain that this one uses a patented spring-power mechanism which puts 30 kg of driving force behind each staple, so the press itself stays light. Their page describes the press once as one-finger and once as two-finger; either way, the work is done by the spring, not your arm.

The body is die-cast metal, which ACCO pair with a lightweight build and a soft rubber grip for long sessions. A window in the side shows the staple supply, so a nearly empty channel is spotted before a thick report gets half bound.
