A roll of 500 black triangular 25mm 'Easy to Chew' food consistency labels, printed with the numeral 7, on paper with a removable adhesive.

Level 7 Easy to Chew covers normal everyday food that is soft enough to chew but has not been altered in size or texture. It is the level closest to a regular diet, which is exactly why it needs marking: a tray that looks ordinary still has a requirement attached to it. Avery states the range was developed in accordance with the International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative framework, and the black colour and the pointing down triangle match the IDDSI convention for Level 7, so a tray marked with one of these reads the same way in any kitchen that uses the framework.

The label is black with white print, which is the combination IDDSI specifies for this level, and the numeral 7 appears on the label face so the level is legible without relying on colour alone. The adhesive is rated from -5°C to 60°C and Avery lists it as safe for refrigeration, so it holds from the cold room to the ward.
