With that in mind, here are three tips to help your body adjust properly to daylight saving time:

Prepare a few days earlier

A few days before daylight saving time, it is advisable to go to bed at least 15 to 30 minutes earlier than your usual sleeping time.

Do not take long naps

With the sudden shift in your daily routine, having some shut-eye mid-day may be enticing but you’ll wake up feeling sluggish. The key to adjusting perfectly to any time change is to avoid taking naps. However, if you need to take naps, make sure that these are no longer than 20 minutes.

Avoid coffee

Lastly, avoid coffee (or any alcoholic beverages!) because these types of drinks prevent you from getting quality sleep at night.
