Surface decides whether these stay up. Adhesive-backed signs hold on painted plasterboard, glass and metal, and peel off render, brick and anything dusty. Clean with isopropyl rather than a household spray and let the bond form before testing it. Placement matters as much: a sign readable only from directly in front is no use down a corridor.
