Compressed charcoal sticks that do not flake
Zart Compressed Charcoal Sticks Black Pack of 12, supplier code CRZ611, are compressed charcoal sticks from The Creative School Supply Company in a rich, strong black for artists and students.
Zart contrasts these compressed sticks with traditional natural charcoal. The supplier says they do not flake, which reduces waste and mess, and describes strength, control and hardness as their qualities. The colour is a rich, strong black for sketching, drawing and shading. This listing is the pack of 12. A pack of 50 is listed separately.
Sticks that Zart says do not flake mean less waste and mess, which helps when the art room is shared. A hard, controlled stick suits shading and line in the same drawing. The 12 pack suits a small group, or a single artist working through a series of tonal studies.
Keep a kneadable eraser and a sketchbook nearby for charcoal sessions. A 50 pack of the same sticks is also listed. Browse charcoal drawing pencils, drawing supplies, sketch pencils and the Zart range.
