Size 4 hog hair round for everyday class painting

With a medium small head, the X-Press It size 4 hog hair round handles most of the shapes in a typical primary school painting.

Code 5824 belongs to the 582 R series of hog hair rounds. The bristles are bundled into a round head with a domed tip and held in a metal ferrule on a long natural timber handle printed 4 582 R, with a barcode further down. Size 4 is broad enough for trees, houses and animals, yet it still follows a pencil line.

Because it suits so many subjects, the size 4 tends to be the brush children reach for first. Ordering a supplier pack of twelve keeps the same size on every table, and the printed number makes it easy for a monitor to check the set is complete after cleaning.

Combine it with larger and smaller rounds for a balanced jar on every table. Explore brushes, acrylic paints, palettes and painting accessories and art pads for student work.

FAQs

One X-Press It size 4 hog hair round, handle printed 4 582 R. Each brush is sold on its own.
The first is the size 4 lying flat on white. The second is a general series photo of a size 7, and the third is a mason jar of size 4 brushes on a pale pink background.
Size 4 is a sensible middle choice for most children. Add a few size 1 or 2 brushes for fine work and a size 8 or 12 for backgrounds.
Rinse under running water while working the bristles gently with your fingers, then reshape the head and let it dry upright. Dried paint near the ferrule is hard to remove, so wash promptly.
