A festive red with shine, for windows and celebration signs

The Uni PWE-8K in metallic red, colour code M15, is a single broad 8mm chisel tip liquid chalk marker for seasonal lettering on shop glass, mirrors and chalkboards.

Christmas windows, Valentine table settings, Lunar New Year greetings and gift displays all lean on red, and a plain red can end up looking like a warning notice. The metallic version adds a sheen that reads as decoration rather than instruction. In the Uni product photo it also comes across as a lighter, rosier red than the standard red marker, so choose the standard red where you want a strong primary colour for prices.

Draw the wide face of the chisel across the glass for block capitals, then roll onto the corner for ribbons, stars and holly outlines. Once the season is over, a damp cloth takes it off the glass, going by Uni Australia, who also say it holds on through rain. Keep it off porous surfaces, which Uni UK rule out.

No. Standard red (code 15) is a flat primary red. Metallic red (M15) has a sheen and looks lighter and rosier in the Uni product photo. Both use the same 8mm chisel tip.
Both PWE-8K metallic packs: the pack of 4 (metallic blue, green, pink and red) and the pack of 8, which adds violet, gold, silver and white. This listing is the single marker.
Rain is not supposed to move it, per Uni Australia, and Uni UK's wording is rain-resistant within reason. Writing on the inside of the glass keeps it out of the weather altogether.
Uni UK list it as not smudge resistant. Give it time to dry before touching the glass or layering another colour over it.
Porous surfaces. Uni UK state it is not suitable for them, so avoid bare wood, cardboard, paper and unsealed boards.
