White Clay With A Sparkle Through It

FIMO kids 8030-052 is a 42 g block of glitter white oven-bake clay from Staedtler, a white base with fine glitter mixed right through.

Where plain white looks flat, glitter white catches the light, so it suits anything meant to look magical or frosty: snowmen and snowflakes, a unicorn body, angel wings, ice castles and stars to hang on a tree. It sits with gold, silver, red, pink and blue in the glitter shades of the FIMO kids range, and Staedtler also include it in their 8032 02 colour pack.

Like every FIMO kids colour it is very soft to work, comes scored into 8 portions and keeps its shape until it is baked at 110°C for 30 minutes in an ordinary oven. Staedtler suggest the range for children from 8 years.

Other sparkly shades are under FIMO; for bead and charm making see craft jewellery supplies, and for everyday colours modelling clay.

FAQs

The glitter runs through the clay, as the unwrapped block photo shows, so it stays visible when you roll and shape it.
Staedtler list glitter gold 112, glitter red 212, glitter pink 262, glitter blue 312 and glitter silver 812 alongside this one.
Yes. Mixing it into plain white gives a softer sparkle; the 8 portions make it easy to measure.
The wrapper shows 110°C and 30 minutes; an adult should do the baking.
The lime green wrapper is Staedtler's current pack; the white one is the earlier design. The clay inside is the same article.
