Black Ink Refill For Lumocolor Flipchart Markers

Staedtler 488 56-9 is a 30 ml pot of black ink that tops up Lumocolor flipchart markers 356 and 356 B.

Black usually does the heavy lifting on a flip chart: headings, agendas and most of the writing. Rather than binning a marker once it starts to fade, push the tip into this refill station and it draws ink back up into the barrel. Staedtler say the marker can be used again within minutes and is fully recharged after 3 to 4 hours.

The pot is polypropylene, and a marker can only take up its own maximum ink content, so it cannot be overfilled. Staedtler's catalogue puts the life of a 356 at up to 9 refills, depending on how worn the tip is. They describe the 356 ink as water based, made not to bleed through paper and washable from many textiles.
