Colour 3 Blue, The Standard Mid Blue Of The 371 Range

Staedtler colour 3 blue is a strong, clear mid blue, and this listing is ten of the 371-3 pigment brush pen in that one shade.

Blue gets used up faster than most colours in a brush pen collection, which is why a pack of a single shade makes sense. It is the colour for summer skies, pools and the sea, school uniforms and denim, and for headings and dividers in a bullet journal where black feels too heavy. Artists who sketch in coloured line also like a blue for loose underdrawings, since it can be inked over and still read as part of the picture.

The ink is Staedtler Multi Ink, a water-based, translucent pigment India ink. Staedtler say it dries fast, will not smudge when painted over once dry, and is waterproof, so washes and other markers can go on top. They also state that it does not bleed through even thin paper.

The nib is a stable brush tip with medium give: steady pressure for even strokes, a lighter touch for hairlines.
