Ten Triangular Fibre-Tip Pens In A Stand-Up Wallet

Staedtler 323 SB10 is a wallet of 10 triplus color fibre-tip pens in assorted colours, the starter size of the triplus color range.

The wallet is more than packaging. Staedtler's stand-up box opens and folds back into a desk stand, so the ten pens stay upright and within reach on a desk or study table instead of rolling around a drawer. Every pen is built on the three-sided triplus barrel, a shape Staedtler pitch for relaxed, easy colouring and writing.

The line is approximately 1.0 mm from a stable, pressure-resistant tip that Staedtler say stays locked in place under heavy pressure. Staedtler badge the water-based ink DRY SAFE: by their account a pen left with its cap off for days will not dry out. It also comes out of most textiles in the wash. Staedtler also list the pens as airplane-safe and made in Germany.

Running dark to light, Staedtler's current SB10 colours are black, tobacco brown, willow green, green, ultramarine blue, azur, antique pink, magenta, red and bright yellow. Our first photo shows an earlier wallet with a slightly different mix. For finer work, the triplus fineliner 334 shares Staedtler's Mix and Match feature.

FAQs

It is Staedtler's label for ink that survives days with the cap off before drying. Their catalogue notes it is tested to ISO 554 and does not apply to neon colours, which this set does not include.
Staedtler currently list black, tobacco brown, willow green, green, ultramarine blue, azur, antique pink, magenta, red and bright yellow. The earlier wallet in our first photo had a different mix, so colours can vary with stock.
Staedtler design the wallet to convert into a desk stand that holds the pens upright. It also closes for carrying.
Staedtler say most textiles wash clean of it. Not every fabric behaves the same, so treat a mark quickly.
