Black S-Gel Pens for Everyday Writing

This box holds 6 retail packs of Sharpie S-Gel Medium Point 0.7mm retractable gel pens with black ink, 2 pens per pack, for 12 pens in total.

S-Gel is Sharpie's retractable gel pen with a 0.7mm medium point, a contoured rubber grip and a plastic barrel. Every pen in this box writes in black, which makes it a straightforward choice for forms, file notes and day-to-day correspondence. Sharpie describes the ink as a water-based gel and states that it is not permanent, so keep a permanent or fraud-resistant pen for cheques.

Sharpie builds the S-Gel with what it calls no smear, no bleed technology, and describes its intensely bold gel ink as giving always vivid writing. The contoured rubber grip is there for a comfortable writing experience, and the click mechanism retracts the point when the pen is not in use.

With 12 black pens split across 6 packs, the box is easy to share between desks or classrooms. See more gel pens, retractable pens, the wider pens range and the full Sharpie collection.

FAQs

You receive one box of 6 retail packs. Each pack holds 2 black pens, so the box contains 12 pens in total.
No. Sharpie states that S-Gel uses water-based gel ink and is not permanent. For cheques or anything that needs fraud resistance, Sharpie advises using a pen labelled permanent or fraud-resistant.
Sharpie builds the S-Gel with what it calls no smear, no bleed technology. It does not publish results for particular paper weights, so try a pen on very thin stock before starting a large job.
The manufacturer's own information is inconsistent on this point, so we do not describe the S-Gel pen as refillable. If refills matter to your order, ask us and we will confirm what fits before you buy.
This box is black only. We also list the same S-Gel 0.7mm pen in blue as a box of 6 packs of 2 (DS2096170), and an assorted box of 4-pen packs with 2 black, 1 blue and 1 red in each pack (DS2096174).
No. The S-Gel is a retractable click pen, so the point retracts into the barrel when you are finished writing and there is no cap to lose.
