A 70cm mirrored ring carrying 150 fibre optic tails, each 2 metres long, with a light source, remote and mains adaptor. Total weight 11.7kg.

This is the centrepiece of a sensory room rather than an accessory to one. A child stands inside a two-metre curtain of colour-changing tails - they can hold them, part them, wrap themselves in them. The mirror in the ring reflects the LEDs back down, which roughly doubles what a child standing underneath actually sees.

Read this before you order. It weighs 11.7kg and it hangs above children's heads. The kit includes carabiners, chains and eye bolts, but the ceiling fixtures themselves are not included and the supplier says so. What holds 11.7kg in your ceiling depends on your building, and that is a question for a qualified tradesperson, not for a product page. Get it mounted properly.

The LEDs are non-replaceable, so treat the light source unit as the part that eventually determines the life of the whole thing.

Runs on a supplied adaptor - input 100-240V, output 12V 2.0A. Mains powered. Check the plug and adaptor on arrival and have your electrical testing and tagging done to your site's normal schedule before it goes into a classroom.

Remote batteries (2 x AAA) are not included.

They are non-replaceable, so the light source unit is the part that sets the life of the whole installation. Worth knowing before you commit $975 and a ceiling mount.
The adaptor is rated 100-240V input, which covers Australian mains, but we have not sighted the plug type ourselves and we have asked the supplier to confirm. Whatever arrives, have it tested and tagged to your site's schedule before it goes into a classroom.
Yes - that is the point. The tails carry light, not power; the LEDs sit in the separate light source unit. Handling, parting and wrapping in them is the intended use.
