Metallic Purple gel pen with a violet shimmer

Metallic Purple writes a deep violet with a reflective sheen, a popular pick for black paper doodles, galaxy art and card making.

Sakura code XPGB-M#524 is the purple member of the Gelly Roll Metallic series. Our swatch shows a strong violet on white and a glowing purple on black, and the writing sample shows a lavender toned line on both papers. Sakura says the pigment-based Metallic ink suits light and dark papers, glossy or matte, including coated paper and photographs.

Purple shimmer works well for night skies, mandalas and fantasy lettering on dark card. Sakura specifies a 0.4 mm line and a 1.0 mm ball, and describes the ink as waterproof and fade resistant, so finished pieces keep their sparkle.

Pair it with Metallic Blue and Pink from our gel pens range, and find black paper in art paper and canvas. Our drawing supplies and visual art diaries collections cover pencils, erasers and black page journals.
