Burgundy gel ink for a refined, darker red

Burgundy sits between red and brown, giving this Gelly Roll Fine Point a rich wine tone that suits formal writing and illustration.

Code 37333 is part of Sakura's Regular series and uses the same capped Fine Point 06 barrel as the other colours. The swatch shows a deep reddish brown that is darker and more muted than Red, so it works for invitations, place cards and journal entries where a softer accent is wanted. Illustrators use it for wood, brick, shading under red and autumn scenes.

A muted red reads well for full sentences without the alarm of bright red ink, making it a good choice for personal letters. Sakura states that Gelly Roll ink is waterproof, holds its colour on paper and will not bleed through most papers.

See the full Regular palette in our gel pens range. A wine tone sits nicely on cream stock, so pair it with paper from art pads or a journal from visual art diaries, and browse drawing supplies for sketching tools.
