Rexel Momentum X410 P-4 Shredder for the Home Office

The Rexel Momentum X410 is a manual feed shredder that ACCO Australia publish for 1 to 2 users, cutting up to 10 sheets of 80gsm paper per pass to P-4 on the DIN 66399 scale.

Each A4 sheet leaves as 400 cross cut pieces of 4x28mm, per ACCO Australia, and the 23 litre bin holds up to 225 A4 sheets by their rating. ACCO Australia list a 6 minute duty cycle; Rexel's manual warns the motor may overheat past 6 minutes of continuous use and then needs about 60 minutes to recover.

It takes stapled and paper clipped sheets, both on ACCO Australia's also shreds list, and the anti jam feature stops and reverses the cutters when too much paper is inserted. Rexel's manual adds a power saving switch off after 15 minutes without use, and Rexel Europe publish 6.5kg and 62 dBA.

This X410 is the P-4 model of the pair. ACCO Australia rate it on the DIN 66399 scale at P-4 with 4x28mm particles and 10 sheets per pass, and rate the X312 at P-3 with 5x42mm particles and 12 sheets. We have not seen a DIN 66399 certificate for either, so we make no certification claim.
ACCO Australia give a duty cycle of 6 minutes on. Rexel's manual lists 6 minutes on and 60 minutes off, and adds that the machine switches itself off to save power after 15 minutes left idle in operating mode.
Per ACCO Australia, paper with staples and paper clips. Rexel's manual limits that to small and medium clips and 26/6 and 24/6 or smaller staples, and its cannot shred list includes credit cards, CDs and DVDs, bulldog clips, plastic folders and laminated documents.
Rexel's manual names Rexel Oil Sheets 2101949 and 2101948 as the accessories for the X410 and carries a no oil symbol, so bottled oil is out. ACCO Australia's page for those sheets says to use one once a month.
