Round Cord Lanyards, Ten to a Bag

Rexel code 9802002 is the cord version rather than the flat one, a slim braided loop with a metal swivel clip, supplied ten to a bag.

ACCO Australia publish a hanging length of 51cm for this code, a centimetre shorter than the flat lanyards in the same range. The braided cord is narrower against the neck than a flat strap, which some wearers prefer over a long shift, and it rolls up smaller in a drawer. The pack label reads Lanyard Cord with Swivel Clip Black, Pack of 10, and states Made in China.

A cord takes up less room under a collar and shows less against a shirt, so it suits offices where the point is to carry a pass rather than to display a badge. The swivel clip works the same way as on the flat lanyards, so holders bought for one will fit the other.

ACCO Australia publish no safety breakaway for code 9802002, so for a releasing lanyard look at code 9802202. Compare the range in lanyards and badge reels, find a holder in identification holders, or browse the Rexel range and real estate supplies.

FAQs

No breakaway is published for code 9802002. ACCO Australia list one against other Rexel lanyards and not against this code, and the cord in our photographs is continuous. Rexel 9802202 is the code published with a safety breakaway and a 2.5kg break weight.
ACCO Australia publish a hanging length of 51cm, which is a centimetre shorter than the 52cm they publish for the flat lanyards in the same range.
Yes. The cord lanyard uses the same metal swivel clip as the flat codes, so any holder or pouch that hangs on one will hang on the other.
That depends on the wearer. A cord is narrower and less noticeable, a flat strap spreads the load across more of the neck. Rexel publish no comfort claim either way, so it is worth buying one bag of each if opinions are split.
Plain black. Rexel print only the STAFF and VISITOR lanyards, codes 9842001 and 9841003, and both of those are flat webbing rather than cord.
