Blue 8mm Combs for Colour Coded Documents

Rexel code 45522 is the blue 8mm plastic binding comb, and ACCO Australia publish its bind capacity at 45 sheets, which makes it a practical way to give one series of documents its own colour.

Blue lets a department, a school house or a project team tell its papers apart on a shared shelf. The 8mm covers a project brief, a parent information pack or a club newsletter. ACCO Australia give a 21 loop coil for this code, so it goes with a machine punching 21 holes along the edge.

ACCO Australia state the combs reopen, so a parent pack can take a changed permission slip without being taken apart. Their lay flat description matters for a brief that is read at a meeting table. Each pack is a single colour, so every document in the series carries the same blue spine.

Other blue sizes are in 6mm to 10mm binding combs, the full family is in plastic binding combs, matching backs are in leathergrain binding covers, and the machines are in comb binding machines.

FAQs

ACCO Australia list 45 sheets as the bind capacity of the blue 8mm, code 45522. Rexel's European binding catalogue puts the same code at 50 sheets, and a paper weight is not stated in either place.
No. A blue plastic comb will not fit a wire binder, which is built to close a metal wire. If you need a Rexel comb binding machine, we list the CB1150 CombBind.
For 45522 the coil type ACCO Australia publish is 21 loop. They give no pitch, so a quick trial on a sheet from your own punch is the safe check before colour coding a whole series.
Yes. We list blue Rexel combs at 6mm as code 45520 and at 9.5mm as code 45540 as well as this 8mm, so a series can move up a size and stay blue.
Our range carries the 8mm in white as code 45507 and in black as code 45502 alongside this blue code. Every 8mm Rexel comb we list is a pack of 100.
