Metal Half Strip Stapling for the Everyday Office Desk

Rexel build the Matador from die cast metal and rate it at up to 25 sheets of 80gsm paper, loading either 105 Rexel No. 56 staples or 84 Rexel No. 16, so a busy reception or accounts desk gets a metal framed tool rather than a moulded plastic one.

Half strip refers to the length of the staple strip the magazine takes, not to the staple size. The Matador loads from the top, so a refill takes seconds and the magazine does not need to be pulled apart. A 49mm paper insertion depth sets how far into a page the staple can land, which matters when a report needs fastening in from the edge rather than at the corner.

An enhanced anti jam mechanism keeps the strip feeding cleanly through long stapling runs, and the staple remover built into the base lifts a staple out again with minimal damage to the page. The base also switches between permanent stapling and pinning or tacking, so one tool handles filing and noticeboard work.
