Rexel Shredder Oil Bottle 473ml

Rexel recommend it for their large office, Mercury departmental, wide entry and Auto plus shredders, and the bottle is labelled for Shredmaster shredders. ACCO Australia's product page calls it safe for all shredder models, but Rexel's manuals for the Momentum and Optimum AutoFeed+ shredders we stock say to use oil sheets instead, so we will not describe it as suitable for all shredders. If your machine is a different brand or a different Rexel range, check that machine's own manual first, or send us the model and we will look up the maker's guidance.

Rexel publish one method for this bottle: apply the oil directly onto the cutting heads. The squeezy bottle is made for exactly that. Rexel do not publish any other method for this product, so we will not describe one. Always follow the oiling instructions in your own shredder's manual, since machines differ and the wrong routine can damage one.

ACCO Australia's product page says to use it once a month. Rexel Europe and ACCO's datasheet for the bottle publish no interval, and your shredder's own manual remains the authority on how often that machine needs oiling.

Rexel describe the oil as non flammable. The bottle carries two printed notes: keep out of reach of children, and store below 110F. Follow those, and keep it with your other maintenance supplies rather than in a public area.

This is the manual squeezy bottle that Rexel publish for applying directly onto the cutting heads. Rexel do not publish it for use with an automatic oiling system, so if your shredder has one, check that machine's manual for the oil it takes before ordering.

Rexel also publish shredder oil sheets, and we stock them in packs of 12 and 20. Rexel's instruction manuals for the Momentum X308, X406 and X420 and the Optimum AutoFeed+ range name the oil sheets and show a no oil symbol, so on those Rexel shredders use the sheets rather than this bottle. For other machines, check what the manual calls for.
