The Largest Capella Casserole, for Batch Cooking

The Resto Capella 32cm casserole is the largest pot in the Capella range, holding 9.7L, with a tempered glass lid, a four-layer Cookmark non-stick interior and a 5mm induction base.

Capella is one of Resto's die-cast collections, made from recycled aluminium. Resto lists this 32cm casserole in dark grey with wood-grain Bakelite handles, 14.5cm high, and it tops a run of four alongside the 20cm (2.6L), 24cm (4.6L) and 28cm (6.6L). Its glass lid has a wood-like knob, a steam hole and a shock-absorbing silicone rim.

The base is 5mm thick with a 235mm induction disc and an anti-deformation disk, and suits induction, gas, electric, vitroceramic and halogen hobs. Resto says the silicone rim is there to protect the glass lid from impact, and states its die-cast collections are free of lead, PFOA and cadmium.

Capella is not for oven use, and we recommend hand washing over the dishwasher to protect the aluminium base. For large batches, see our food storage containers, serveware and breakroom kitchen supplies.

FAQs

Yes. Resto lists induction, gas, electric, vitroceramic and halogen hobs for this casserole, and the base is reinforced with an anti-deformation disk to help it stay flat.
No. Resto's Capella leaflet shows a no-oven symbol for the collection, and the product page carries no oven-safe mark. Use it on the hob only.
Resto marks it dishwasher safe, but its care guidance limits this to low temperatures (max. 50°C) and warns the aluminium base may discolour in a dishwasher. We recommend hand washing to keep the base and the exterior coating looking their best.
Resto's specifications for this range do not name suitable utensils. To look after any non-stick coating, we suggest wooden, silicone or nylon utensils rather than metal.
Capella casseroles come in 20cm (2.6L), 24cm (4.6L), 28cm (6.6L) and 32cm (9.7L), all with glass lids. The 28cm shallow pot holds 4.4L in a low, wide shape, and the 16cm saucepan holds 1.4L.
One Capella 32cm casserole and its tempered glass lid. The lid has a wood-like knob, a steam hole and a shock-absorbing silicone rim.
Resto's EU Declaration of Conformity for the Capella range lists the manufacturer's coating as a PTFE coating system. Resto states its die-cast collections are free of lead, PFOA and cadmium.
